Jewel Kilcher is an American singer-songwriter, musician, actress, and author. She has received four Grammy Award nominations and, as of 2015, has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
She grew up near Homer, Alaska. Her father “Atz” Kilcher, is the patriarch of the The Kilcher family who are featured on the Discovery Channel show “Alaska: The Last Frontier”.
At age fifteen (1989), she received a partial scholarship to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan were she studied operatic voice and learned to play the guitar.
After graduating, she relocated to San Diego where she played up and down the California coast playing various coffeehouses.
Landing a record deal with Atlantic Records, she released her debut album “Jewel” in 1995 when she was 21 years old.
The album was recorded at Neil Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch with the Stray Gators, Young’s backup band.
The album spawned the Top 10 hits “You Were Meant for Me”, “Who Will Save Your Soul”, and “Foolish Games”.
Jewel’s second studio album, titled Spirit, was released on November 17, 1998. Its lead single, “Hands,” peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
She has released 10 studio albums since. Other hits: “Down So Long”, “Jupiter”, “Standing Still”, “Break Me”, “Intuition”, “Good Day”, “Stronger Woman” and “Satisfied”.
Her first movie role was in the 1999 film “Ride With The Devil”.
Her first cousin once removed is actress Q’orianka Kilcher who is best known for her role as Pocahontas opposite Colin Farrell and Christian Bale in the motion picture The New World (2005).

Archival Conservation Mat is included with your purchase. Mat is a high quality, 4 ply (1/16″) surround mat. These frame mats are acid-free & Lignin-free made with 100% virgin alpha-cellulose surface, core and backing papers. So your caricature with mat will fit into a standard comparable frame either “20” x 24″ or “16” x 20″ depending on the print size, (frame not included). Price also includes a Backer Board.
32″ x 40″ stretch canvas print is produced by Giclee printing process and are hand stretched over heavy duty American made white pine. The canvas print is varnished twice after printing. The canvas prints are ready to hang (complete with hanging wire).
